The Great Compromise

This past weekend, we started playing Dungeons and Dragons. Yes, you read that right; we actually started a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. (hey, don’t judge) We got the character sheets, the maps, the guide books, a four person party, a sadistic Dungeon Master, and multisided dice galore. Geek levels are at MAX, (and damn proud of it) though finding willing participants involved some compromises. To be clear, she didn’t actually play as Hello Kitty; but just wanted to use the figurine. (that could’ve been part of the original compromise) She makes awesome cupcakes and brownies, so it’s all good.

LAAAAAAAATE update. To all of our readers (all 4 of you. and we appreciate every single one of you), I apologize for the late update. Though we’ve never really declared it, we try to update every Wednesday and someday hope to double that. This week is another guest comic from our friend Sak, whom may just start being a regular drawer for us! (now we have 6 readers! …no wait he’s included in the 4… damn it!) Karate Kid Part Deux

I don’t have a problem that they are remaking a movie from my childhood days. That’s certainly nothing new, but It’s surprising to me that this level of cultural insensitivity can be allowed to pass this day in age. I mean, it’s 20fucking10! We’re in the future! And looking at the comment threads on the YouTube trailer and other articles regarding the remake, it’s clear I am not the only one with issues against these Hollywood racists.

Captain Forever-ever-ever-er-er-rrrr…
This is a nice little indie flash game I found on RPS that blends (stay with me folks) Asteroids + RTS + Legos. Some patience and commitment will be involved, so just promise me you won’t lose your job over harvesting space pirates. Now that a particular associate and I have the means to acquire a substantial library of games, our nostalgic curiosity has blossomed. I recently played through the original God of War (PS2); A privelege that a younger Doc cast aside as fantasy.
